IntroductionClimate change, sometimes known as global warming, describes human-induced shifts in climate. These changes are disruptive to the environment and usually cause a plethora of problems for natural cycles. Most often, when people think about climate change, they think about the dangers for future populations. Because of the slower nature of the changes, it’s sometimes difficult to meaningfully understand what climate change has already done.  The Dead SeaThe Dead Sea, a tourist attraction bordered by Israel, the West Bank, and Jordan, is slowly disappearing. Water levels are dropping more than three feet every year, and as a result, sinkholes have started eating away at the shorelines. Nowadays, the Dead Sea shows up on lists of places to visit “before they disappear.” Those who visit the Dead Sea often do so because they believe the mineral-rich content in the mud and waters have the capability of curing diseases and changing lives. Regardless of why it has become an attraction, its eventual loss will be a direct result of human actions.   The PyramidsWhat remains of the pyramids in Egypt are also at risk due to climate change. The unpredictable weather has led to increased damage in the facades of the fragile pyramids, and it's predicted that in 100 years, most (if not all) of them will be gone. As a reminder, these pyramids are incredible not just because they are beautiful but rather because they are a representation of the capacity of human achievement. What will it mean if a major contribution of humanity is to destroy its own history? Our FutureIn spite of the above, it’s not too late to work towards a brighter future. Climate change, being human-driven, can also be solved by humans. The future of the world depends on the future generations, our youth.

들어가며지구 온난화라고도 알려진 기후 변화는 인간이 일으킨 기후의 변화를 뜻합니다. 이런 변화는 환경을 파괴하고 일반적으로 자연의 순환에 많은 문제를 야기합니다. 사람들은 대부분 기후 변화라고 하면 미래의 인류가 겪을 일들을 떠올립니다. 변화의 속도는 매우 느리기 때문에 기후 변화가 벌써 일으킨 문제는 크게 와 닫지 않을 때가 많습니다.  사해이스라엘, 요르단과 접경한 관광명소인 사해가 서서히 사라지고 있습니다. 매년 수위가 3피트 이상 낮아진 결과 싱크홀이 해안선을 잠식하기 시작했습니다. 요즘 사해는 "사라지기 전에 방문해야 할 곳” 목록에 나타납니다. 사해를 찾는 사람들은 진흙과 물에 함유된 미네랄 성분이 질병을 치료하고 삶을 변화시킬 수 있는 능력을 가지고 있다고 믿는 경우가 많습니다. 사해를 찾는 이유가 무엇이든, 사해가 결국 사라지게 되면 그것은 인간의 행동에 따른 직접적인 결과물일 것입니다.  피라미드이집트의 피라미드 또한 기후 변화로 인해 위험에 처해 있습니다. 예측할 수 없는 날씨로 인해 연약한 피라미드 표면의 잠식되는 피해가 증가했으며, 100년 후에는 (전부는 아니더라도) 대부분 사라질 것으로 예측됩니다. 다시 한번 강조해 보자면, 피라미드가 믿을 수 없이 대단한 이유는 이 건축물이 아름다울 뿐 아니라 인간의 엄청난 것을 성취할 수 있는 능력을 상징적으로 보여주기 때문입니다. 인류가 자신의 역사를 파괴하게 된다는 것은 어떤 의미가 있을까요?  우리의 미래위 내용에도 불구하고, 더 나은 미래를 위해 노력하기에 늦지 않았습니다. 인재 (人災)인 기후 변화는 또한 인간에 의해 해결될 수 있습니다. 전 세계의 미래는 후세대인 우리 젊은이들에게 달려 있습니다.
