IntroductionThe night before Christmas, also known as Christmas Eve, Santa Claus gears up to prepare to leave the North Pole. He’s got a big task ahead of him: to travel to every house in the world to deliver presents for the well-behaved children. Indeed, it’s a journey that requires traveling beyond the speed of light, if he intends to make his deliveries before Christmas Day. Luckily, with the power of magic, it’s fully attainable. Many children often wonder about Santa’s personal life, so we’ve done some research and provided details below. Does Santa Like Cookies? Legend has it that [1] Santa enjoys milk and cookies, so many children leave them out for him before they go to sleep. However, not many children have considered an important question: does Santa indeed enjoy eating this many cookies and drinking this much milk? Obesity in the world has tripled since 1975, and Santa is getting old, which, self-discipline decreases with age. And cookies are no healthy snack. Instead of milk and cookies this Christmas, you might consider leaving Santa something healthier, like hummus with a couple pita chips, or even some ranch and carrots.  Does Santa have kids? A common question about Santa’s personal life is whether or not he has a family. He works throughout the year to oversee large factories in the North Pole, and so it’s only natural to wonder: while Santa’s out delivering all of these toys, who delivers toys to Santa’s kids? You’ve probably heard stories about Mrs. Claus, Santa’s wife, but Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus actually have no children. Instead, when not attending to the logistics of their factory, they take care of a tomato garden and a small black Shih Tzu named Salmon (like the fish).  Who owns the factories? Does Santa enjoy his work? Santa owns most of the factories in the North Pole, having inherited them from his father, although around 15% of North Pole factories are actually subcontracted; the business relationships with those manufacturers, like many other relationships in Santa’s life, can be somewhat tenuous[2], which is why he prefers that Mrs. Claus handles negotiations.  Santa always reports finding his work fulfilling, but this is because toy manufacturing and delivering are the only things that he’s ever known. Santa’s oldest brother, on the other hand, left the family to practice medicine centuries ago. The brothers keep in touch, though the older Claus keeps reminding the younger Claus regularly to go easy on the milk and cookies.
