1. 申請論文 Essay

每一所學校MBA都有不同的申請論文題目，申請者可以到學校官網確認題目，並且根據自身情況和學校特性來撰寫, 這邊列出學校的Essay連結。

In today’s global business environment, the only constant is change. Using NYU Stern’s brand call to action, we want to know how you view change. Change: _____ it. Essay 2: Personal Expression (a.k.a. "Pick Six")
Introduce yourself to the Admissions Committee and to your future classmates using six images and corresponding captions. The Pick Six is a way to share more about the qualities you will bring to the Stern community, beyond your professional and academic achievements. Your uploaded PDF should contain all of the following elements:

• A brief introduction or overview of your "Pick Six" (no more than 3 sentences).
• Six images that help illustrate your interests, values, motivations, perspective and/or personality.
• A one-sentence caption for each of the six images that helps explain why they were selected and are significant to you.

Note: Your visuals may include photos, infographics, drawings, or any other images. Your document must be uploaded as a single PDF. The essay cannot be sent in physical form or be linked to a website.

Essay 3: Additional Information (optional)
(500 word maximum, double-spaced, 12-point font)

1. Who am I 型(自我實現型)

2. What I have done so for型 (著重在工作經歷)

• Who am I(自我實現型)的申請文章是指 “我過去是如何生活的，我有過怎樣的感 受和學習經歷，因此造就了現在的我，我現在有什麽夢想，以及我希望如何實現這 些夢想等內容。
• What I have done so far 型 (著重在工作經歷) ，旨在描述我過去做了什麽工作，我未來 有什麽職業理想，以及我將如何發展自己的職業，並解釋為什麽選擇這樣做，這些應該是兩篇申請論文的重點。

由於兩種類型的申請論文所著重的內容不同，它們的撰寫方式也應有所區別。後者應該是邏輯性強、系統性強，並以成功故事為中心;而前者則應該表達出真實感受，較為感性。以失敗故事和經驗教訓為中心，因為人的生活並不總是邏輯性的， 一個人的人生經歷可能不是一條連續的線，但當我們回顧過去時，有時會發現人生 中有一個貫穿的主題，找到這個主題是很重要的，因為人們經歷的失敗比成功更 多，而失敗往往是人生的轉折點。

有趣的是，現在的 MBA 趨勢越來越多學校要求申請人撰寫關於“Who am I” 類型的 申請論文。隨著越來越多的 MBA 強調 “創業與企業家精神”，他們選擇了詢問申請 人關於其人生的 “Who am I”類型的申請論文。因為在創業時，最重要的不是這個 人走過了什麽樣的職業道路，而是這個人是誰，他們想要實現什麽樣的價值觀。

2. 履歷 Resume

MBA 申請用的履歷應該將申請文章中重要的事件具體描述，用精準的語言將過去的經歷呈現出來，雖然有些事件可能沒有在申請論文中提到，然而這些過去經歷過的每一件事都造就了現在的我，因此要在履歷中將這些事件呈現給閱讀者。

當閱讀履歷時
1) 應該能夠在腦海中刻畫出申請文章

2) 當你感覺到閱讀履歷內容之後能感受到它展現出你的人生的時候，你就完成了申請 MBA 所需要的履歷。

3. 推薦函 Recommendation Letter

推薦信的撰寫者應該是申請人的上司或合作夥伴，而不是申請人自己，推薦信是為了從他人的觀點客觀評估申請人的個性和能力而準備的資料。

推薦信最理想的情況是從“真正了解申請人的管理者” 那裡獲得，因為招生官們透過推薦信希望了解申請人從管理者的角度獲得的真實評價。管理者知道成為管理者所需的特徵。因此，了解這些成為領導者必須條件的人能夠詳細描述申請人是否具備未來成為領導者的特質，並以具體事例作為證明，這是推薦信的核心。

推薦信最好是由推薦人親自撰寫，因為申請人無法模仿推薦人的思維。但是，申請人可以與推薦人分享申請論文的主要內容，並給推薦人一些方向，推薦人可以補充解釋申請論文中的內容，或者提及申請論文未能涵蓋但能展現申請人作為“未來管理者”優勢的內容。

然而，在大多數情況下，申請人直接撰寫推薦信，只借用推薦人的名字。如果推薦人非常忙碌，這是無可避免的。然而，這種情況下，推薦信無法體現“推薦人對申 請人的真正評價”，如果可以的話，最好是請推薦人親自撰寫推薦信。

4. 面試 Interview

面試是用於檢核申請人與學校的適配度以及申請文件(如申請論文和履歷)的真實性的過程。面試官會注意申請人與其申請論文、履歷等所描繪的自我是否一致。因此，面試應該誠實、真實地進行，申請論文和履歷應該真實地撰寫，為了面試，準備申請論文和履歷應該是“用心撰寫，用頭腦修正”的過程。

不建議以背誦腳本的方式準備面試，首先，大多數人在面試時會非常緊張，無法記住背誦的內容。其次，機械式地背誦腳本無法傳達真心，這會給面試官一種與機器 人交談的感覺。

面試時使用英文並進行練習是很重要的，這是因為需要將英文表達方式融入自己的 口語中，並且需要練習用英文表達自己的內心感受，建議進行一對一面試的練習。通過一對一面試練習，可以反覆經歷 “噢，原來這就是我的英文實力，考慮到我的實力，這樣說可能更好。”、“噢，我犯了這種錯誤，這樣說可以減少錯誤”等反覆修正的過程。如此一來，申請人可以準備出適合他們的最佳答案，與事前寫腳本和背誦腳本的方式相比，進行模擬面試 3 到 4 次要來得更有效果。

5. 申請表 Application form

在申請表格中，我們需要記錄各種不同的資訊，例如教育背景、工作經歷、志工活動等。實際上，由於這些資料幾乎囊括了所有資訊，這時候，在申請論文、履歷和推薦信中需要注入一些色彩。

換句話說，在申請表格中需要填寫最近的工作資訊、教育背景、獲獎經歷、薪資水 平等內容，透過這些訊息我們必須充分展現自己的智力和出色的職業經歷。另外， 在申請文章、履歷和推薦信中應該要表現出真實的自我，而不只是單純的自我介 紹。

通常申請人常犯的錯誤是將申請表格作為填寫個人信息的形式化文件，而且在申請 的最後階段才填寫，所以常常會出現很多拼寫錯誤。但是，申請表格的內容必須與申請論文、履歷和推薦信的內容完全匹配，因此，建議從離提交日期前的 2-3 天開始填寫，並且要仔細認真地填寫。
